The problem is she doesn't want me to write my WIPs. I know, right? WTF?

That's why right now I'm kind of struggling with one of the corniest plots ever until I'll beat it into submission.

It's so, so corny, I'm ashamed of myself.

Not this corny, believe me. It's almost emo.

But it's for the mermaid!Kris prompt at kradamadness, so I guess I'll end it anyway.

Maybe I can make it so corny it works like crack?

1) The Little Mermaid...Part Deux : Ok, so, you know how in the original soppy tale she doesn't get the prince? But instead of becoming sea foam gets a chance to earn her soul? Ok, yeah, let's do that--with Kris. He was the mer that loved and lost, and is stuck on land as a result.

Adam is the opening act for Anthemic. He's new, he's ambitious, and he's on tour--what more can boy ask for?

...well, for one thing, how about the name of the hot thing that keeps showing up at the shows? The short one with the fine, sad eyes and no voice. The one whose presence coincides with all those silly accidents that keep happening?

Because yes Cook was Kris' "prince" and his death might bring back Kris to the water and if you don't think mer!Kris' family/friends would be willing to drown a pop star to get their sweet boy back*, then we are not reading the same playbook.

(*Kris would probably not be part of the murder attempts; he's the guy watching out for Cook and trying to "talk" his family out of it.)

I would never do that! Using the comm's name in vain! You should be ashamed of yourself, young lady. kradamadness is totally awesome and classy and delicious. It most certainly does not support corniness. Does it?
