When you have pretty things around...

...you smile more.

Well, at least I smile more when I'm surrounded by pretty things. This dressing table was my Christmas present from the husband. I loved it as soon as I laid my eyes on it, and I think it goes pretty well with the rest of the room. What do you think?




Note 1: The chair, I painted and reupholstered it myself. I'm still not sure how I managed to do it, and why it seemed a good idea at the time, to try and do such thing when I've never tried my hand at those things before, but I think it didn't turn out so bad in the end, didn't it?

Note 2: I know this post is pretty boring, but I promised I'd try and post more frequently this year and let's be honest, guys, I'm a pretty boring individual most of the time. Other times, I share my thoughts about zombie apocalypse and mermen world domination and I'm a little bit interesting.

God, at least I hope I'm more interesting then. =/

I do, too! I think I'm going to set Fridays as The Furniture day here at my journal, and I'm going to ask people to post a picture of their favorite piece of furniture or room in the comments. What do you think, love? Wouldn't it be interesting?
