When Grandma cooks

So my grandma made me Gazpacho today. It's my favourite summer dish, because it's kind of the perfect mix between healthy and delicious. It's pure perfection and I swear I can feel all its vitamins making me healthier, stronger, taller, brightening my skin and even whitening my teeth.

I'm not exaggerating. Much.


I love when it's creamy and you can eat it with dicey vegetables as a summer soup.




And I love it when it's smooth and you can drink it like a cocktail.



I love Gazpacho so much, that we even had it in our wedding, a Strawberry's Gazpacho Sorbet as first course. It was delicious.

I know, I know. This post has no relevance whatsoever, but I wanted to share my happiness with you, guys. My Grandma cooks heavenly and I'm full of gazpacho and happiness right now!

I know! Cold, creamy soup full of vitamins and antioxidants and tasting like summer, sunsets and happiness!

And because my Grandma is the best ever, and her Gazpacho is nectar of the gods, I'm writing Mer!Adam preparing gazpacho to Kris in a very romantic and vegetarian dinner. (I wanted it to be vegan, but Kris wants his double chocolate brioches, dammit. What can I do? C'est la vie!)

Tsk, tsk, tsk... I don't think Adam approves that kind of language around his intended. Nor that Kris would approve being Adam intended, if he knew.

Why doesn't Kris want to talk? He likes the mystery?

Nah, I just can't think of anything IC-like of him to say.

In response to what? Adam's question about his future, his past, his current life?

To anything! *flail* This chapter is floundering like a beached guppy!

What about forcing them to spend 45 minutes in a traffic jam? They ought to talk there! Or maybe Kris receives a call from his parents, lawyers, fellows from the satanic sect, I don't know, and then Adam learn things about Kris without having to ask. Or maybe he decides to gather information around, just in a reckon mission, talking with Kris' baker, his hairdresser, his nosy neighbor.

If Kris doesnt want to talk, we have ways to learn things about him.

Besides, Adam loves reckon missions: he has the best incognito pants ever, all black and stealthy.

...you know I might actually use that? (Did that sound condescending? It wasn't meant to sound condescending.)

Right now all I have is a slightly silly phone call at breakfast (Katy) and then Adam getting high on Kris' shampoo. Also, the unmentioned sex that they totally had the night before. A traffic jam would only improve the situation.

But is it weird to have them do another "field trip" considering that's all they've been doing up to this point? (Finding Adam's hotel, Paula's boutique, Katy's orchard, Kris' house party...)

Stop trying to do things make sense, woman! This is fic-land, where distances are relative, fangirls frolic on the angst and traffic-jams happen on a whim, not only in LA.

I'm glad to be of service. I want Kris to be happy, but I also want Adam to suffer a little. Does it make me a bad person? Because I don't really care. I want Adam to suffer because courting Kris is the most alien experience for him. Normally it only involves flashing the guy a smile, but now he has to think and plan and he's not used to it. He has to be interesting, not only sound interesting.

We fangirls love tense silences in the car. I say if your Kris doesn't want to talk, then you run with it and make Adam fill the silence babbling like a madman.
