I didn't expect to, but I'm loving the new Panic! at the Disco's work. It's good.

(I still love MCR's one better, but Vices and Virtues is a pretty nice album. I'm really digging it.)

What you've been listening to lately, guys? I need to widen my musical horizons.

I don't really have musical horizons. It's very sad.

I still haven't had a chance to read the mermaid fic by the way. Give me a couple of days and I'll get back to you with NOTES!! and COMMENTS!! Very deep ones!

Oh, don't say that. Knowing how many people are waiting for that thing is making me want to scrap it even more! It's so icky with all the emotions and hurt/comfort and ugh. I just wanted them to fight and then have sex. How hard is that to do!

I am absolutely floving V&V. I couldn't possibly choose between it and Danger Days; they're so different.

Do you have any of the six bonus tracks? Because they're wonderful, seriously seriously wonderful. ::squeezes Oh Glory to her chest::

What else have I been listening to, hmm. Lots of "old" bandom stuff that's new to me: Cobra Starship, The Academy Is ..., Fall Out Boy, etc. So far I've loved all of it except for Midtown (SORRY GABE), although there are definitely albums from each that I prefer.

Bandom's been great for widening my horizons--it gives me not just ideas of what to listen to but a community that will be all DUDE I LOVE THAT SONG TOO when I squee. Win/win!

Here (US and Canada) it's the same; the others are from iTunes preorders and one-off things like that. They're worth hearing, so if you're comfortable downloading them, I'm happy to give you a link for that.

Cobra: Viva la Cobra is fantastic, funny, dance music. They don't take themselves seriously at all and they're better for it.

Fall Out Boy: Under the Cork Tree, plus i'd highly highly highly recommend Patrick Stump's solo song Spotlight--but you have to watch the music video to appreciate it (warning: may inspire you to go outside and, like, skateboard or do yoga or something).

I've only very recently gotten into bandom and while I like it on many merits, the music is absolutely the best part. I just love it.
