As a matter of fact, Adam doesn't like it either. Somebody chose the place for him, and he loathes it, because it reminds him how empty his life is. He wanted to share it with someone, anyone, but his life is hectic right now and it looks like there is never a steady enough boyfriend to make the place look lived in. (And also? He is becoming particular with this Bfs business. He doesn't have time to waste in a relationship when he can hardly knows what day is)
So every time Kris is in town and they hang around together, Adam sneaks into Kris's room (the third door on the left) and takes little things that Kris won't miss, like one of his two thousand white T shirts, or his old glasses bag, or the last interview's schedule and he hides them until Kris is gone, and then, he leaves them lying around. That way, when he arrives home, he can fool himself into believing that Kris is still there, and the loft doesn't feel so cold.
