I loved how real it felt. How the guys didn't care about Ray being a girl, until the world reminds them that she's not a guy. I mean, sometimes, Gerard is actually surprised when ray reminds him that there are some things that she can't do, or places she can't be. And he's insulted, he's personally affronted when the fact that Ray is a girl matters more to some people than the she's a musician.
And Mikey, his problems, his relationship with the band, with Ray...I love how perfectly well the author portrayed them all, making him a real person. I loved the story, it's fantastic. One of the best things I've ever read.
