When family is the best and worse thing ever.
I don't hate Christmas.
Really, I don't.
In fact, I used to love Christmas a lot. But when I grew up and noticed all that stuff kids are usually too busy being distracted by shiny lights and presents to perceive, I realized that I didn't like the season at all.
I mean, there's a reason you don't visit that obnoxious relatives anymore, right? And the reason is that you. Can't. Stand. Them! So why on Earth is a good idea to put all those people that hate each other in one place, stuff them all with lots and lots of food so they can't run away and then force them to spend so time together?
It's obvious it's going to be a bloody nightmare.
And worse of all, Christmas doesn't end here in Spain until the 6th of January, when the Three Wise Men come to give presents to the kids, so I still have to suffer through another family gathering. I hate to feel like this, all angry and sad. I used to love my family. I miss those times.
Last year was tough. Lots of bad stuff happened, and most of what was good came from here, so I want to say thank you to all of you guys. You were the light when things were dark and bleak, and I can't thank you enough for making me smile through all of that. I wish I could sing, or dance, or make every single one of you a bouquet. (Or a basket full of chocolate, strawberries and lube, practical things like that).
I'll work on it for next year. Until then, just THANK YOU!

Did your stepmother liked the scarf? I hope so. I'm finishing the last Christmas orders, and I keep wondering if she liked it. Don't forget to take a picture, please!
