It's La Noche de San Juan!!!!!!!!!!

Tonight is San Juan, the Night of the Witches, the night of water and fire, when magical things happen and summer starts.

Guys, if I could, I'd host all of you here in the island with me, because you shouldn't miss it. Almost the whole city population goes to our three beaches, people make bonfires and when midnight comes, everybody jump into the sea.

Happy Witches' Night, to all of you!

I'm on the beach right now and Travis McCoy's gay untattoed twin brother is trying to sell me a Sarong.

😳

I know I said it already, but sometimes my life is fucking awesome.

I just updated my Master Post.

I'm exhausted.

I'm the worst kind of procrastinator, the kind that really thinks: "Oh, I'll do it soon, really, I'm just so tired, angry, busy, hungry right now, in a few minutes I'll do it for sure."

So feel free to punch me in the mouth next time I don't religiously update the damn thing, ok? Having to post the links for everything it's really hard. =/

But hey! On the other hand, I'm writing again, so maybe you could just not punch me very hard? Pretty please?

A few minutes ago, after our tutoring ended, two of my students (my favourites, actually), earnestly tried to explain me the concept of fanfiction.

FANFICTION!!!!!

Of the Harry/Louis persuasion!!!!!! And they're barely twelve!

I'm so touched! I'm prouder now than I was when they grasped the concept of irrational numbers!

Can you believe it? My gorgeous [livejournal.com profile] forsweatervests will arrive in the island next Saturday, and my freaking car just freaking broke!!!!!!!!

Seriously?!?!?!

Sometimes is pretty hard to put on your shoes and face Real Life.

I wonder if it'd help to lay high heels down for a while.

When the year starts I'm full of good intentions. They last as long as I forget them, which is pretty soon because let's face it, my memory is shitty.

I have some things I want to do, though, and I want to post them here so I don't forget them.

List of things I totally, totally have to do. Don't let me procrastinate again, guys. Now it's a shared responsibility. )

I also have some art I made these last weeks to share.

Art for all, but be careful: some of it is very NWS!!!! )

I don't hate Christmas.

Really, I don't.

In fact, I used to love Christmas a lot. But when I grew up and noticed all that stuff kids are usually too busy being distracted by shiny lights and presents to perceive, I realized that I didn't like the season at all.

I mean, there's a reason you don't visit that obnoxious relatives anymore, right? And the reason is that you. Can't. Stand. Them! So why on Earth is a good idea to put all those people that hate each other in one place, stuff them all with lots and lots of food so they can't run away and then force them to spend so time together?

It's obvious it's going to be a bloody nightmare.

And worse of all, Christmas doesn't end here in Spain until the 6th of January, when the Three Wise Men come to give presents to the kids, so I still have to suffer through another family gathering. I hate to feel like this, all angry and sad. I used to love my family. I miss those times.

Last year was tough. Lots of bad stuff happened, and most of what was good came from here, so I want to say thank you to all of you guys. You were the light when things were dark and bleak, and I can't thank you enough for making me smile through all of that. I wish I could sing, or dance, or make every single one of you a bouquet. (Or a basket full of chocolate, strawberries and lube, practical things like that).

I'll work on it for next year. Until then, just THANK YOU!

So, we're back. What an amazing trip, guys, it was lovely. I already knew the city, but we were lucky and we had gorgeous weather, warm temperature and lovely light, so we walked a lot and we had the chance to explore the city at our heart's content.

Look at the pretty, pretty city! )

Things went well, almost all of what we took there stayed at the city, and we had a few interesting interviews reading future business operations, so all in all, we're pretty happy with the adventure. The city is vibrant and we're totally inspired by its intensity. Next year's collection is going to look amazing.

But guys, it doesn't mind how far I travel, I can't escape. Fandom life follows me everywhere. Just look what I found in a Christmas ornament's shop. It can't be a coincidence. It just can't.

Because I didn't even knew this shit existed. Seriously. It never even crossed my mind.

I think fandom is trying to send me a message. )

When you're busy like hell, apparently making covers for podfics can relax you.
Honestly.

Well, at least it relaxes me. Who needs to sleep, right? Sleep is totally overrated. I also made art for the BRBB, and I'm really excited. It's going to be so much fun!

Well, let's take a look at some covers. )

I'm afraid I'm forgetting a cover, but I can't seem to remember... =/

I spent last weekend in Lanzarote to celebrate my cousin K's wedding. We had an amazing time, guys. It's great to spend time with those family members you don't see very often, and this time was especially interesting because the biggest asshole of my family wasn't able to assist, so the rest of us had the best time ever.

I'm not really comfortable posting pictures of myself on the net, so you're going to miss my amazing skirt, all embroidered and colorful, but I'm going to leave you all with two pictures of the incredible lunar landscape of Lanzarote, where water is precious, the soil is made of volcanic rocks and vegetation has to be protected from the implacable wind.

Lanzarote, the island of fire. )

It was our wedding anniversary yesterday. Three years. Time flies.

Three years married and ten more together as a couple.

Wow.

We're really surprised we haven't killed each other yet.

Just kidding.
Mostly.
=/

Guys, do you remember how I use to brag about the fantastic climate we have here at the islands? How we have warm temperatures all year round, and how hurricanes, twisters or even storms don't really plague us? How I use to show off and say that Canary Islands are the European Hawaii?

Then Mother Nature comes and bitch slaps us like whoa!

I'm not bragging again. Ever.

My computer is broken again.

I never noticed how incredibly incommunicado it makes me feel. It's like an itch I can't scratch, knowing a lot of things are happening here and I'm missing them all. Missing fics, podbooks, fandom stuff... I feel horrible.

And I miss you, guys. I miss you so much! You make my life so much bright it's not even funny. My Real Life friends, I can always reach by phone, but you... I miss you!

I try not to think about all the things I still have to do. I have to write the freaking sequel of doom, (and I'm not going to dwell on the fact that now that iIcan't write is when I feel all inspired, the irony is killing me!) I have a few covers to finish and a fic I was halfway beta-ing for a lovely friend. This sucks so hard!!!!!

I have a computer for work, but it doesn't have internet, so right now I'm posting from the husband's laptop while he brushes his teeth. He refuses to leave it here with me, though I offered him cookies, sex and even sex-cookies. He's one of those responsible guys, the one that like their jobs and don't like to play hooky, damn him all to hell.

The computer is supposed to be operative again in a week or so. I'll see you then, I hope.

The weekend is almost over. It's been pretty weird. Productive, but weird.

Let me tell you that last week I finally talked with [personal profile] foursweatervests. She's in Madrid, and she's so lovely, you wouldn't believe. She has the cutest accent ever, and she speaks Spanish really, really well. I can't wait to meet her for real, let's see if Real Life behaves itself and we can meet properly. It's going to be AWESOME!

My weekend, in case you were wondering. )

OH! I almost forgot: I wrote two more scenes of my Mer!fic. Adam has Kris totally bemused! Brad is enraged! Cassidy wants to hit himself! So as I said, weird weekend but productive, too.

So my grandma made me Gazpacho today. It's my favourite summer dish, because it's kind of the perfect mix between healthy and delicious. It's pure perfection and I swear I can feel all its vitamins making me healthier, stronger, taller, brightening my skin and even whitening my teeth.

I'm not exaggerating. Much.

I love when it's creamy and you can eat it with dicey vegetables as a summer soup.

And I love it when it's smooth and you can drink it like a cocktail.

I love Gazpacho so much, that we even had it in our wedding, a Strawberry's Gazpacho Sorbet as first course. It was delicious.

I know, I know. This post has no relevance whatsoever, but I wanted to share my happiness with you, guys. My Grandma cooks heavenly and I'm full of gazpacho and happiness right now!

We had a wedding last night and the bride and the groom danced the 'Saturday Night Fever' routine.

No, I'm not joking. I wish I were, but I'm not.

I'm going to have that image branded in my brain forever, guys. FOREVER.

=/

OK, this is what happens when I go with the Husband to the Cinema.

And I'm starting to like his version better that the canon one.
